Chilton dropped back to ninth position in the second race, but was then tied on pole for the final test of the day. With less rain at Croft just before the start, the riders faced a dilemma over tyre choice.

Wets proved to be the right choice, and Chilton led the way to victory. But it wasnt easy, with Josh Cook (Civic Type R) and Jason Plato (Vauxhall Astra) pushing him around.

Jordan achieved a solid eighth place, which allowed him to maintain his good form in the first two races. Although Jordan now has three victories more than any other driver, a strong fall that prevented him from scoring in any of the races at Donington Park means he is fourth in points, 26 behind Turkington, who leads the way with 143.

Cook is second in the standings, 11 points off the pace, with Sutton third.

The next round is at Oulton Park in Cheshire on 29/30 June.
