This weekend Silverstone will host the biggest race in the UK.
Some 100 Citroën C1 racing cars will compete on the entire Silverstone circuit for 24 hours from Saturday at 5.30pm.
The C1 Racing Club, which competes with the 1.0 litre, 3dr C1s, has proven to be as popular as a motor sport for beginners – it is possible to build a racing car priced around £3,000 – that its series of endurance and 24-hour races are usually overloaded, so it has obtained permission from Motorsport UK for a list of bumper inscriptions.
The race will be broadcast live and can be seen here:
Autocars general editor, Matt Prior, will race in car number 303 for a story that will be in the magazine and online later. For updates throughout the race, you can follow Matt and Autocars social channels.
